KUWAIT PUBLIC HEALTH INSURANCE FOR EXPATRIATES

What are the documents required for issuance of health insurance cards

1. Visit the Health Insurance Department at the Ministry of Health and submit the following documents:-

For renewal of residency two copies of Civil ID
One passport sized photograph, (return back – for scanning purpose)
Fee KD 1 for processing charges and Health insurance fees for Expatriates.  If you are employee you will charge KD 50/- for one year and KD 40/- for dependent spouse (wife). And KD 30/- for dependent children. (The above mention fees are for one year)

2. At the time of submission insurance department will issue Health insurance electro magnetic helath card along with Insurance payment receipt.

3. The insurance receipt is a must for applying Residence (Original must be attached along with Application for residence)

If the applicant is at first time the entrance visa and copy is required.
New born baby - If you are applying for your new born baby, Baby’s Kuwait birth Certificate or if your baby is born in other country - birth certificate from that country.

Health insurance will cover your health expenditure for that period but Each time you visited to clinic for treatment  you must pay a fee of KD 2/-
