Population of Kuwait
Information from Central Statistical office, The Kuwait population was estimated at 3,328,136, out of which Kuwaiti Nationals are 1,038,598 and rest were non Kuwaitis and Expatriates. [Data on June 30, 2008].
The Census data's of Kuwait shows the Population of Kuwait in 2005 Total Kuwait Population reached 2,213,403, of whom (1,310,067) were males, with 59.2%, and (903,336) females with 40.8% of the total. The Kuwaiti population was (880,774) persons, (excluding Kuwaitis residing permanently abroad) .With regard to the sex composition, the number of males was (433,977), with 49.3%, and the number of females was (446,797) accounting for 50.7% of the Kuwaiti population.
The Non-Kuwaiti population reached (1,332,629), divided into (876,090) for males and (456,539) for females. The percentage distribution of the Non- Kuwaiti population by sex was 65.7 percent for males, while for females it was 34.3 percent. It is important to note that the percentage of Kuwaiti population was 30.9% in 1975 census and decreased to 27.7% in 1985 census but rose to 41.5% in 1995 census, then decreased slightly in 2005 census, where it became 39.8%.
Major Expatriate communities in Kuwait are from Egypt, India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Philippines, from Kuwaiti population more than 100,000 state less people [Bidonns]
